Mario Batali

    Mario was born in Yakima, Washington on September 9, 1960. He has a wife and two sons.  Growing up, he went Rutgers University where he studied the Spanish theater and economics, graduating in 1982. While attending Rutgers he worked as a dishwasher for Stuff Your Face Restaurant. Soon after graduating, Mario went to London England to study at the famous Le Cordon Blue where he did not stay due to a lack interest, but he got an apprenticeship with Marco Pierre in London. He trained in Northern Italian Village of Borgo Capanne. His career in food took off from there. He worked in many of the world’s top restaurants including seven in New York City.    In 2006 he opened in Las Vegas.  Mario Batali won seven chef awards. In 1999 Mario was named Man of the Year by GQ magazine in his chef category. Mario won the James Beard Foundation’s for Best Chef in 2002. Mario has created many restaurants across the United States. Mario authored five cookbooks and can be seen on the Foods Network on many shows. He is known for Molto Mario and Ciao Amenia, a famous cooking show.  They have food from James Beard Award. Mario team up with NASCAR to create the first ever tailgating bible for NASCAR fans. The cookbook includes regional and classic recipes, all written by Mario. Mario Batali worked

Vatican city is in the middle of Roma, Italy, it is the smallest independent country in the world, it is 109 acres. The ruler of Vatican city is the pope of the of the Catholic church Vatican City has been an independent country since 1922. Saint Peters church in center of Vatican city is the church in the world, built in the shape of a cross inside is a lot of bronze over the alter and the dome and lots of marble, gilding, and mosaics decorating the walls.

The name Vatican City comes form the Seven Hills of Rome; its population is less than one thousand people. Most people that live in the Vatican are from religious orders or are priests and work for the Catholic Church. The Swiss army supplies Vatican City with a unit of the Swiss Guard. The uniforms of the Swiss Guard were designed by the famous artist Michael Angelo. Vatican City has a priceless collection of painting and sculptures and its library has one million books.
